Remember watching Sesame Street as a kid growing up? (Or maybe you still do). Did you know Sesame Street recently debuted its first Asian American muppet character? Join us for an exciting fireside chat with the one and only Kathleen Kim, who plays the character of Ji-Young on Sesame Street. Ji-Young is a name built for Sesame Street, as Ji means “Sesame” in Korean. On the show, she is a Korean American and has two passions: rocking out on her electric guitar and skateboarding.
Kathleen will share her personal story, triumphs, and challenges encountered while pursuing her passions as an actress, TV producer, and puppeteer. She will also provide insight on her journey and what led her to land the role of the first Asian-American muppet on Sesame Street as Ji-Young. Through the discussion, attendees will gain valuable insights on how to thrive both professionally and personally, and how to pave your own path when pursuing your passions, especially when that involves breaking down traditional barriers.
Please reach out to your respective ERG leader for the access code. RSVP requests without one will not be approved.
For Amazon attendees, please RSVP via gather and not here.
RSVP cut off date is 2024/4/17
